Spanning more than 30 acres, Forsyth Park is Savannah’s largest and oldest public park. The land for the park was donated by William Brown Hodgson in the 1840s, and named for illustrious statesman and 33rd Georgia governor John Forsyth. Located in Savannah's famous Historic District, Forsyth Park draws visitors for its iconic, French-inspired fountain designed by John Howard, which has been featured in many films.

TELFAIR MUSEUM

The first public art museum in the Southern United States. Founded through the bequest of prominent local citizen Mary Telfair, and operated by the Georgia Historical Society until 1920, the museum opened in 1886 in the Telfair family’s renovated Regency style mansion, known as the Telfair Academy. The museum currently contains a collection of over 4,500 American and European art.

The Savannah Historic District is a large urban U.S. historic district that roughly corresponds to the pre-civil war city limits of Savannah, Georgia.
